I have written an article on the thirtieth anniversary of the Voyager
Interstellar Records’ launch into space aboard the space probes
Voyager 1 and 2. It is in the current issue of the newspaper
    Tompkins Weekly.

Under the direction of Cornell astronomers Carl Sagan and Frank Drake,
numerous resources and people from Cornell and Ithaca were used
to make the Voyager Record possible in just a matter of months.

A number of images and people from Ithaca are on those records,
which will last longer than any human made objects left on Earth.
